Union Berlin’s first competitive game of the 2026-27 season will be a first-round match in the DFB Pokal, where they travel to second division club Braunschweig. This match on Sunday at Eintracht-Stadion between the ‘Lions’ and the ‘Iron Ones’ could be a tighter one than anticipated with the hosts likely to avoid defeat, which is why our prediction is a double chance on the hosts.
