Bournemouth vs Swansea Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup

The first FA Cup Fourth Round tie of the week sees Bournemouth host Swansea in what should be a competitive battle between two teams. Bournemouth looked dead and buried in their FA Cup Third Round tie with Queens Park Rangers, going in at the break 2-0 down to their hosts. However, three second half goals in 21 minutes put the Cherries  in front and they hung on to move into the draw for the next round. Swansea had an easier time of it, as they drew Morecambe at home and landed a 2-0 victory at the Swansea.com Stadium, Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino scoring the first and Jerry Yates adding a second late on. 

That is about as far as the good news goes for Swansea fans in terms of this fixture though. The Seans have won just one of the last 14 games beteen the two, and that came well back in October 2007. In recent times, Bournemouth have held the upper hand recording wins of 3-0 and 4-0 at home and a 3-2 away win in the League Cup in August this year. The Swans best result in this period was a home 3-3 draw with Bournemouth in April 2022. 

In terms of recent form, Bournemouth have lost recently to Tottenham (3-1 away) and Liverpool (0-4 at home) but before that they had been on a seven-game unbeaten run which included 6 wins, a run which moved them away from the drop zone. Javier Iraola took a while to get the team set up in his own image, but there have certainly been plenty of evidence over the last few months that the Cherries are now starting to match their managers expectations.

Swansea are unbeaten in between two heavy defeats to Southampton (a 5-0 loss on Boxing Day and a 3-1 loss last weekend). In the four games in between they have drawn two away (at Coventry and Swansea) as well as winning two at home. Head Coach Luke Williams team lie 16th in the Championship and are ten points outside the playoff places.
