Botic Van De Zandschulp vs Mackenzie Mcdonald Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Libema Open

We could have an all-Dutch match in the second round of the Libema Open. Wild card Botic van de Zandschulp takes on Mackenzie McDonald in the first round. The winner of this match will be taking on either top seeded Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor or unseeded Miomir Kecmanovic in the last 16 of this grass court tournament. Van de Zandschulp is ranked 99th in the latest ranking list and had a rather unsuccessful clay court season failing to get past the last 16 of any event played. It's been the same for him on hard courts too and he'll hope for some good results on grass. The Dutch player has had success on this surface and made it to the fourth round at Wimbledon two years ago. It didn't go so well last year with only one win in four matches played. He won his only previous match against McDonald in 2022 but that was played on a hard court.

Michael McDonald is the world number 74 but has had a disappointing year to date. A win over van de Zandschulp will be his first win on the ATP Tour this year. The American has only won one match and that was this month at the Challenger Tour grass court event held in Surbiton beating world number 240 Alex Bolt. McDonald failed to build on that and lost to Shintaro Mochizuki (ranked 162nd) in three sets after winning the first. On grass, McDonald reached the fourth round at Wimbledon six years ago but has only won one match since then. Last year saw him reach the quarter-finals of this tournament and the last four in Eastbourne. He could well be coming back to form and we go for this match to go to three sets.
