Game 2 of the NBA Playoff series between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks will come to us on Wednesday night from TD Garden. The Knicks won the first match and lead the series 1-0. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Boston Celtics came into the second round of the Playoffs following a commanding 4-1 series win over the Magic, but they now need a response after dropping the first game 108-105 in overtime on Monday. 

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both put up 23 points apiece, while Derrick White and Jrue Holiday combined for 35 points. However, the C’s shot just 35% from the field and made 15 of 60 from beyond the arc. 

Notably, Kristaps Porzingis left the game in the first half due to illness, and Sam Hauser sustained an ankle injury. Both are listed as doubts for Boston in this match.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks did something very few teams have managed to do against the Celtics this season in Game 1, which was erasing a 20-point deficit to force overtime. 

While Jalen Brunson missed an open look to win the match in regulation time, he still had a very good game, putting up 29 points, while three other New York starters also got into double-digits.

Key to the Knicks' victory on Monday was the excellent defence they played in the fourth quarter, when they held the Celtics to just 16 points.
