The NBA is back and we’re kicking off the 2024/25 season with defending champions Boston hosting New York on Tuesday! Let’s get right into the prediction for this match between the Celtics and the Knicks!
TD Garden will hang Boston’s 18th championship banner on Tuesday night, a record in the NBA as they pull clear of the Lakers’ 17.
Their first of 82 regular season games sees a matchup against a team that is expected to challenge them for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Indeed, Boston and New York finished as the East’s first and second seeds, respectively, in the 2023/24 campaign.
The Cs finished with a 64-18 record while the Knickerbockers totaled 50 wins and 32 losses before being eliminated by the Pacers in the East semi-finals.
