League One's Accrington Stanley will make the trip to Meadow Park to take on Boreham Wood, with both sides hoping to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday. John Coleman has successfully navigated eight years in charge of Accrington, in which he saw his side promoted to League One in 2018, but they have never made it past the fourth round of this competition during his tenure. The visitors come into this match off the back of consecutive losses in the league, which leaves them just outside the relegation zone, separated only by goal difference from the teams beneath them. They have a golden opportunity in this game to match their best-ever record in the competition against a non-league opposition that is not in the best of form at present. 

The hosts have shown that they have an upset in them in this competition, claiming notable scalps in recent seasons. Boreham has seen off the likes of Wimbledon, Bournemouth, and most recently, Bristol Rovers by two goals to nil in the last round. Last season, Boreham Wood made it as far as the fifth round in this competition and required Premier League opposition, Everton, to knock them out. However, their recent form is difficult to ignore, with just a single win in their last ten matches in the league. They are currently in 13th place, with 32 points in 23 matches. The visitors seem unlikely to be able to challenge for promotion this season, but they will fancy their chances here and will be motivated by the financial incentive of another fourth-round appearance in the making.
