Bochum can ease their relegation worries with a home win over bottom-of-the-table Darmstadt. They are 15th in the Bundesliga and six points clear of the relegation play-off position. FC Koln occupy the first of the automatic relegation spots and travel to Augsburg this weekend, Bochum could increase the seven point lead they have over them. The home side are struggling for form and come into this game having lost their last four in the Bundesliga. The most recent of those was a 2-0 defeat at Mainz who are in the play-off position. The last two home games have both been lost but Darmstadt aren't such a threat as Leipzig and Freiburg. Home league form for the Blues has produced four league wins with only thre losses. 

Darmstadt come into this game desperate for some points. The Lillies are five points adrift at the bottom of the table and six behind the play-off position. They have only won two league games this season with 17 being lost. Their last three league fixtures have all ended in defeat with a woeful 13 goals being conceded. 11 goals were put past them in games against Augsburg and Bayern Munich and they were both played on home soil. On their travels, Darmstadt have won just one of their 12 league games with seven lost and 29 goals conceded. They have gone eight away league matches without a win.
