Sporting can go top of the Portuguese Primera League with an away win at sixth placed Boavista. They are second in the table at present but only on goal difference behind Benfica with this game in hand. Sporting are yet to lose a league game this season. Seven of their eight league fixtures have been won with the other being a 1-1 draw at Braga. Since that stalemate Sporting have won four successive league fixtures, scoring ten goals. Midweek saw them draw 1-1 at Rakow in the Europa League after taking a first half lead. They are now unbeaten in their last 22 league games with no defeats since being beaten by Porto in February. Away league form is strong with two wins and a draw making it 12 without a loss.

Boavista are in sixth place and four points adrift of fourth. They have gone three league games without a win, having lost 4-1 at Braga and then drawing with Famalicao and Moreirense who are currently seventh and eighth in the table. Seven goals have been conceded in their last three league games which is bound to fill Sporting with confidence. Overall 13 league goals have been conceded by Boavista in this season's Primeira League. At home they are yet to lose in the league with two wins (including a victory over Benfica) and a couple of draws. Current form isn't good though and too many goals are being conceded. We go for Sporting to get an important win here and top the table.
