This PBA Commissioner's Cup dead rubber sees Blackwater Bossing take on Converge FiberXers on Saturday. The two teams have already been eliminated from the competition following a run of poor results, but will look to at least round off their campaign on a strong note. Here is our prediction.
Blackwater Bossing snapped their four-game losing streak with a shock victory against competitive favorites San Miguel Beermen. However, they failed to build on that result, losing their next three fixtures. This includes a 108–93 defeat to Meralco Bolts in their most recent outing.
The defeat to Meralco Bolts saw the Bossing fall to their ninth loss in the competition. They have lost their last three games against Converge FiberXers across all conferences.
Converge FiberXers got off to a winning start to the competition, but lost their next five fixtures and fell out in the race for the playoffs. They, however, got back on track in their top-eight push with three wins from their next four games before a 100–81 defeat to table-toppers NLEX Road Warriors last time out dealt a final blow to their chances.
Despite that setback, the FiberXers head into Saturday's contest slightly on the front foot, as they have fared better than Blackwater Bossing in the competition and boast a stronger recent run.
