Both Birmingham City and Watford come into Saturday afternoon's game at St. Andrews (3pm Kick Off) in dire need of a win. The Blues have managed just two wins in their last ten games, both of them coming at home but their poor form of late, combined with improved form from the teams below them in the table, has seen them drop down to 21st in the table, just one point outside the relegation place. Only Sunderland and Rotherham have worse form than Birmingham over their last five league games and with manager Tony Mowbray still undergoing treatment and recuperating from an undisclosed ailment, the Blues badly need a result to ease the pressure on themselves at the foot of the table. 1-0 Defeats away to Millwall last weekend and then at home to Middlesbrough in the week have exacerbated their problems.

Watford parted ways with coach Valerien Ismael recently, with ex-Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley taking over as the interim assistant manager. Chairman Gino Pozzo is not known for his patience with managers and a run of just one win in their last ten sealed the Frenchman's fate. The Hornets playoff hopes have now all-but died on the back of this recent poor run as they lie 14th in the table on 45 points, 13 off Norwich City in 6th place in the table. Conceding goals has been Watfor'ds problem with 51 conceded so far this season. A managerial change can sometimes give a team a quick boost in form and the Hornets badly need this against another struggling Championship team on Saturday.
