Billy Harris vs Gabriel Diallo Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Newport Open

After a successful grass court season in the UK, Billy Harris faces Gabriel Diallo in round one of the Hall of Fame Open. This is a first round match in this grass court tournament being held in Newport, USA. The winner takes on either eighth seed Rinky Hijikata or unseeded Mackenzie McDonald in the last 16.

Harris is up to a career-high 116th in the latest rankings and three higher in the live list. At the start of June, the British player was 201st at the start of the grass court season. He rose up the rankings thanks to a semi-final in Surbiton and Nottingham on the Challenger Tour.

Then he really hit form on the ATP Tour reaching the last eight at Queen's Club and the Eastbourne semi-final. A good run at Wimbledon was not to be though and he lost to Jaume Munar in four sets in round one. Now he heads to the USA hoping to build on those good results.

Gabriel Diallo is at 165th in the latest ranking list. The 22-year-old Canadian didn't enjoy a successful run in English grass court tournaments. Of hs six matches, he won three and lost the rest. At Wimbledon, he lost in the second qualifying round.

Diallo was as high as 129th in February of this year. This is only his fifth match in the main draw of an ATP Tour event and he's 2-2 so far. His best runs this year have been on the Challenger Tour, including a semi-final in Brisbane in January.

This is the first match between these two players and we tip Harris to get the victory.
