Billy Harris has a good chance of extending his good run on grass. He takes on lucky loser Charles Broom in round two at Eastbourne. The seeded quarter-final opponent is the sixth seed Mariano Navone. Harris is up to 137th in the world in the live rankings. He was 201st before the start of the grass court season. The 29-year-old has reached semi-finals on the Challenger Tour in Surbiton and Nottingham (where he lost to Broom). Last week saw him get to the quarter-finals at Queen's Club and he's going well again this week. The wild card defeated fellow Brit Jacob Fearnsley in straight sets in round one. He was expecting to face second seed Tommy Paul but he withdrew after winning the Queen's Club tournament.

That was great news for Charles Broom who has been reinstated into the draw. He beat eighth seed Francisco Cerundolo in his first qualifying round match but was then beaten by James McCabe in three sets after winning the first. Then came the news of Paul withdrawing and all of a sudden Broom was in round two of the main draw. He's now 244th in the live rankings but like his opponent has been moving up the list recently. Broom was the runner-up in Nottingham after beating Harris but then lost to Fearnley in straight sets. At one stage this year he was only 345th in the rankings. Unlike Harris, he hasn't built on that Nottingham performance and has lost twice since then. We tip Harris to get the win.
