One of the top clashes in La Liga this weekend will see Real Betis host Atletico Madrid in Seville. This game finds Atletico in second spot, four places above Real Betis. Real Betis had a good campaign last season, finishing sixth in the league but 17 points behind Atletico Madrid. This isn’t a fixture that has really worked for Betis in recent engagements. It was also an improvement, having drawn their final two preseason matches. Atletico’s win on Match Day 1 of La Liga was their fifth unbeaten outing, having finished strongly last season. They however have no clean sheet in the last four matches. This is despite scoring two or more in each of their last five matches and all ending in over 2.5 goals. Both teams have scored in Atletico’s last four matches. Atletico have won each of the last four matches against Betis and are unbeaten in eight. In three of their last five meetings, both teams scored.
