Benevento host Palermo at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito in a battle at the lower places of the Serie B table. Benevento played out an entertaining 2-2 draw away at Reggina last time out, with the result however offering little help with regards to their position at the table. Specifically, the hosts are currently fifteenth in the standings, just a point away from the automatic relegation places and winless in nine of their last ten games. Thus, their position in sixteenth place of the Serie B standings should not come as a major surprise, despite the season commencing with high hopes for the Sicilian side. Another trend of interest has to be Palermo’s tendency for BTTS NO games. Partly owing to their own attacking deficiencies, nine of their last eleven games have failed to see both teams score. On the bright side, Palermo should take their excellent record to this crunch fixture, having never lost against Benevento in their previous six head to head encounters.
