Saturday’s A-League action kicks off at the Go Media Stadium, where Auckland FC will be playing host to Adelaide United. The Black Knights are third in the league standings, while the Reds are in sixth place. Let’s get into the match prediction!

After a dream first season in the A-League, in which they were crowned Premiers, Auckland FC have made a positive start to their title defence, taking four points from their first two games.

The Black Knights drew goalless against Melbourne Victory in their opening match and beat WS Wanderers 1-0 last week. They are the only team in the top flight that has yet to concede a goal. 

The hosts earned 28 points and only lost a single league game at home during the regular season in 2024-25. These two sides played to a 4-4 draw here last term. 

Meanwhile, Adelaide United secured an opening week victory over Sydney FC but suffered a 2-1 defeat in their first outing of the season, losing 2-1 to Macarthur last week. 

Notably, the Reds have not been in the best form of late, with that victory over Sydney being only the second they have managed in the top flight since early February (W2 D4 L8).

The visitors have been particularly poor on the road, now on a three-match losing streak and winless in their last 10 across all competitions, dating back to January 11.
