Fourth placed Atletico Madrid host Real Betis who are sixth in La Liga. The home side begin the weekend in the final Champions League qualifying position, three points ahead of fifth placed Athletic Bilbao who beat them 3-0 in the Copa del Rey in midweek. That was an away game for Atletico who have now lost six La Liga matches on the road this season. It's a different story completely on home soil for the Matress Makers. They have the best home record in La Liga this season with 12 wins and a draw against Getafe. They've won four more home league fixtures since that draw. The most recent saw them beat Las Palmas 5-0. 24 home league matches have now been played since their last home loss to Barcelona in early January 2023 with all but two won and strangely it being Getafe who drew the other two.

Real Betis are in the Europa Conference League qualifying position, two points ahead of Real Sociedad in seventh. They are seven points adrift of fifth place and ten behind Atletico. The Green-and-Whites won their last La Liga fixture 3-1 at home to Athletic Bilbao and that ended a run of three games without a win in all competitions. They have only won three of their 12 away league matches this season but two of those have come in their last couple of fixtures. WIns came at Mallorca and Cadiz, both of whom are in the bottom five in La Liga. The reverse fixture with Atletico ended goalless but we tip a home win in this match.
