Aston Villa vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Aston Villa host midlands rivals Wolves on Saturday (kick off 5.30pm) in what promises to be an interesting match up. Villa lie 4th in the table at present, three points ahead of Tottenham in fifth, although Spurs do have a game in hand. The Villains are seven points off Manchester City in third, so a run at the title looks unlikely. Part of the reason for that is a run of three defeats in their last four home games, which has cost them early in terms of the title race. However, Unai Emery's team have lost just one of their last five games, winning three, scoring ten goals in the process but also conceding the same number due to a heavy defeat to Spurs in their last home game. Last time out, Villa were held 1-1 by West Ham in London, Nicolo Zaniolo (79) scoring their goal to answer Michaeil Antonio's (29) first half strike.

Since late December, Wolves form has been excellent. They have won seven of their eleven games played since the 27th December, drawing one and losing just three. They have beaten Chelsea twice and Tottenham in that run of games and had reached the FA Cup Quarter Finals, but lost that last game before the International break in dramatic fashion, conceding two injury times goals to Coventry to lose 3-2. They have lost just one away game in that period, a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle at the beginning of March. That solid form has moved them up to ninth in the table with 41 points rom 28 games and they are still very much in the mix for a Europa League or Europa Conference League spot next season.
