The Kai Tak Sports Park in Singapore will host a pre-season North London Derby when Arsenal take on Tottenham Hotspur in a club friendly on Thursday afternoon. The Gunners came second in the league standings last season, while the Lilywhites finished in 17th place. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

For a third consecutive season, Arsenal were forced to settle for a runner-up spot in the Premier League last term, finishing 10 points behind eventual champions Liverpool. 

However, the Gunners have been busy bolstering their squad in the summer transfer window, with the headline signing being that of Viktor Gyokeres, who is expected to make his debut in this match. 

Mikel Arteta’s side have won both of their pre-season friendlies so far, beating AC Milan 1-0 and Newcastle 3-2. They are now unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions. 

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur endured an appalling league season but managed to salvage pride by winning the Europa League final to ensure European football this term. 

Despite the win, the club opted to part ways with Ange Postecoglou, replacing him with Thomas Frank. Spurs have won one and drawn two of their pre-season games - they also lost home and away to this opponent last season.
