Arsenal will look to end their Singapore leg of the preseason with a friendly against Newcastle United at the National Stadium in Kallang on Sunday. This match between the Gunners and the Magpies comes with our prediction of under 2.5 goals.
The Gunners are looking to go one better than the last two seasons, where they finished as runners-up in the English Premier League. Newcastle finished fifth in the Premier League last season and have set their sights on improving their performance.
This is the second friendly for Arsenal, following a 1-0 win over AC Milan in the midweek. The victory was fashioned by a Bukayo Saka goal in the second half, although the teams went ahead to have penalties that were eventually won by Milan.
All the talk in the Arsenal camp was around signing Viktor Gyokeres in time for this game, although that wouldn't change the fact that coach Mikel Arteta would test the entire squad.
Newcastle have been rocked with Alexander Isak handing in a transfer request, while their 4-0 loss to Celtic in Glasgow was a third consecutive match in which they failed to score.
That sequence included a 1-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates, although they had twin 2-0 wins in the semi-final of the EFL Cup over the same opponent.
