European champions England have a Women’s Nations League double header against Belgium in their next Group A3 assignment. Heading off to this game, England are second in the group while Belgium are bottom. We have a prediction for the match.

The Lionesses didn’t have a great start to their campaign, drawing 1-1 with Portugal. They, however, stepped up on matchday two with a crucial 1-0 win over world champions Spain.

In their last 18 matches, England suffered three defeats. One of them was against Belgium. That 3-2 defeat in 2023 remains the only time England have lost this fixture. They come into this game unbeaten in five matches.

Belgium have been the weaker side in this fixture but they will look to their latest meeting with England for inspiration.

Before beating England, they had lost three straight against the Lionesses, and will be clear underdogs coming into this game. This aspect will not be helped by the fact that they lost both opening matches in this group.

Belgium let slip a comfortable 2-0 lead in their opening match in this group, to lose 3-2. Notably, all of Spain’s goals came when they had just 13 more minutes to hold on. They would then lose 1-0 to Portugal, sending them to the bottom of the standings.
