Andy Murray is bidding to win the Olympic Men's Singles title for a third successive Games. It would be the biggest shock we see in Tokyo if that was to happen. He takes on the ninth seed Felix-Auger Alliassime in the first round. The winner will face either Domininc Koepfer or Facundo Bagnis in the last 32. A lot has happened since Murray won his second Olympic title in 2016. He didn't have a metal hip back in those days, nor was he ranked outside the top 100 as he is now. He's already had a good win in the men's doubles and that may well be where his hopes of future success lie. Murray's comeback has had some positive results but up against top players he still isn't at the level he used to be, which is understandable. 

Felix Auger-Aliassime is fresh from reaching the last eight at Wimbledon. He is a good prospect to go one round further and that could see him winning a medal. He's had a strong year and is currently ranked 15th in the world and that is his highest ever position. The Canadian has got to at least the last eight in his last three tournaments, including being runner-up in Stuttgart. He has had one previous meeting with Andy Murray. That was at the US Open last year and he beat the Scot in straight sets. A similar result looks possible here.
