AmaZulu FC vs Sekhukhune United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier Soccer League

An important bottom-half battle in the PSL will unfold this week when Amazulu play host to Sekhukhune United on Wednesday evening. The hosts are currently in 14th place in the league standings, while the visitors are 10th. Amazulu will be aiming to avoid a fourth consecutive loss in all competitions. They werre beaten 1-0 by Sundowns last week, which followed a loss to Stellies a week earlier and a 3-2 defeat by TS Galazxy in the Carling Knockout Cup semi-final. Notably, all three of those defeats were at home, while followed a run of six games unbeaten. Amazulu have been solid in defence this season, currently possessing the fourth-best record with just 11 goals conceded. However, their major problem has been at the opposite end of the pitch, where they have managed only nine goals to date, which is the worst tally in the top flight. Nevertheless, the hosts won the last meeting between these sides 2-0 last season and are the bookmakers’ favourite in this one. 

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United played out a stalemate against Stade Malien Bamako in the CAF Confederation Cup last weekend. That result keeps them in the hunt for qualification to the knockout round of that competition, currently in third place and level on four points with the team in second spot. In addition, that victory also marked Sekhukhune’s third match unbeaten, following back-to-back wins over Diables Noirs and Chippa United. However, the visitors away form this season has taken a notable dip of late. Babina Noko have lost their last three league matches on the road and are winless in their last five in all competitions, including four losses and a draw. In addition, they have not beaten this opponent in their last three attempts.
