Novak Djokovic continues his quest to win an eighth Wimbledon men's singles title. Round three sees the second seed face unseeded Alexei Popyrin for a place in the last 16. The winner of this match will play either 15th seed Holger Rune or qualifier Quentin Halys next.

Djokovic was doubtful for this tournament but has shown few signs of any problems in his two matches played so far. Round one saw him defeat qualifier Vit Kopriva and he only lost five games. He had to go to four sets to get past Jacob Fearnley on Thursday.

The Serb is second in the live rankings but that's the highest he can reach even if winning Wimbledon again. In the Live Race, he's in 13th place. Not since 2016 has Djokovic failed to make it to the fourth round at Wimbledon. A seventh straight time in the fourth round should be achieved.

World nunber 47 Alexei Popyrin is in the third round of a Grand Slam tournament for the sixth time. He's never gone any further and has lost both of his previous matches against his opponent, but this is their first match on a grass court.

This isn't a tournament he's had a great deal of success in. He'd lost three consecutive first round matches at Wimbledon before his four-set win over Thiago Monteiro this week. Round two saw him have to go to five sets to beat 30th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry. We tip Djokovic to win in straight sets.
