Alexander Bublik returns to action after an impressive showing at the French Open. He will be at Halle to take on Alexandre Muller in the first round. Muller’s last act was a first-round defeat at the French Open, falling in four sets to Jakub Mensik. He arrives for this match off the back of straight defeats in his last two outings.

Bublik is a much stronger player on this surface and will come here as a favorite to go all the way. Before his showing at the French Open, he would not be regarded as such.
