Alexander Shevchenko vs Holger Rune Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Rotterdam

Third seed Holger Rune is up against unseeded Alexander Shevchenko with the winner going into the last eight of the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. The potential quarter final opponents are either sixth seed Grigor Dimitrov or unseeded Marton Fucsovics. Rune may be the world number seven but he had a difficult time in the first round of this indoor hard court tournament. He had to go to a final set to get past unseeded Roman Safiulin. The first set was won but Rune then only won two games in the second. He got himself back on track and only dropped a single game in the deciding set. That win took him up to 15th in the ATP Live Race. This year has seen him reach one semi-final in Montpellier but an arm injury caused him to retire in that match.

Alexander Shevchenko was ranked 57th at the start of this tournament. He is up to 52nd after beating Zhang Zhihzen in the first round. Like his opponent he had to go to three sets but Shevchenko had to come from behind to get the win. He's now 51st in the Live ATP Race and will go into the top 50 if causing an upset here. 2024 has seen him get to one quarter final. That was in Montpellier where he was beaten by Alexander Bublik. Shevchenko has had one previous match with Rune and that was in Brisbane this year with the Dane winning in three sets. We go for Rune to get another win in this tournament.
