Alexander Bublik vs Karen Khachanov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

For the past few weeks, Alexander Bublik has shed his unpredictability tag. He just secured a semi-final berth at Halle off the back of a 16th win in 20 matches. He will be up against Karen Khachanov, and below is our prediction of this second meeting between them.

This week Bublik made headlines for becoming the first player outside the top 20 to beat world No. 1 Jannik Sinner since 2023. He didn’t rest on his laurels, following it up with a straight-sets win against Tomas Machac in the quarter-finals.

Such a run can only matter if it leads to a title, and Bublik knows it. He will be fired up for this as he seeks a second title at Halle. 

Khachanov will not attract a lot of headlines like his opponent, but he is the better-ranked player here. Not that it would matter much, though. The Russian is coming from a straight-sets win over Argentine Tomas Martin Etcheverry to compile a run of 18-14 for the season.

His numbers point to a player who has gone through an inconsistent campaign. However, reaching his second semi-final of the season is sure to boost his confidence.

He will be hoping to avoid a similar capitulation like in his first, in Barcelona. His one and only grass court semi-final was right here in Halle in 2017 but ended in defeat to Roger Federer.
