Marcos Giron is the second seed in the Hall of Fame Open but the highest remaining one. He takes on qualifier Alex Bolt in the quarter-finals of this grass court tournament. The winner will face either fourth seed Christopher Eubanks or sixth-seeded Aleksandar Vukic in the last four.

This is his second grass court quarter-final of the year. He got to the last eight in Halle and had wins over Andrey Rublev and Matteo Berrettini. At WImbledon, he was beaten in round two by fourth-seeded Alexander Zverev.

He beat unseeded Benoit Paire in his only match this week in Newport. He needed to come from a set down to win that match. That win has seen him rise to 50th in the ATP Live Race and could get as high as 46th if beating Bolt.

Alex Bolt was ranked 210th in the latest rankings. That was 85 places below his career-high achieved five years ago. Reaching the last eight in this Hall of Fame Open has taken him up to 173rd in the live rankings.

The Australian had to qualify to reach the main draw and won both of his matches without dropping a set. He's carried that form into the main draw with two straight sets wins over unseeded Jakub Mensik and fifth seed Brandon Nakashima. We tip Giron to end his run.
