Two Australian qualifiers face each other in the Eastbourne International first round. James Duckworth takes on Aleksandar Vukic with the winner up against either eighth-seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina or lucky loser Tseng Chun-hsin next. Here's our match prediction.

Both players are having their third match after a couple of weekend qualifiers. James Duckworth is the lower ranked of these two players and is 106th in the live list. The Australian has won four of his seven grass court matches played this year, all in the qualifying rounds.

The weekend saw the 33-year-old lose one set in his two qualifiers. On grass, Duckworth has a best of reaching round three at Wimbledon in 2021 but hasn't won a main draw match there since then.

Aleksandar Vukic has made it to round two at Wimbledon for the past couple of years. He is down from 80th to 92nd in the live rankings due to him defending the points earned when reaching the semi-finals here last year, winning five matches to get that far.
