Aberdeen host Rangers in the final set of Scottish Premiership games before the league splits into two for the final five games of the season. Can the Dons close the gap on Hibs with a win over the ‘Gers? Or will Rangers ensure the Premiership title cannot be won this weekend with a victory at Pittodrie? Aberdeen currently lie fourth in the table on 49 points, a point behind Hibs after 32 games of the season. They are two clear of Dundee United in fifth, but 16 adrift of their opponents today. Rangers are second in the table, with 65 points from their 32 matches, 15 clear of Hibs but 13 behind Celtic at the top of the table.

Since losing 5-1 away to Celtic, Aberdeen are unbeaten in their next four, drawing twice before beating Motherwell 4-1 at home and then earning a 1-0 away win at Ross County in their previous fixture.

Rangers' form is hugely surprising. After going unbeaten in 13 home games, they have lost their last three at Ibrox, but away from home, they have won the last five in a row. That includes an exciting 4-3 win away to Dundee but they come into this game on the back of a 2-0 home defeat to Hibs last weekend.
