Aberdeen and Motherwell will meet in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup on Saturday afternoon at Pittodrie Stadium. The Dons have only lost one of their last 10 matches against the Steelmen across all competitions. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Aberdeen are set to feature in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup for a fourth season on the bounce, though they only managed to reach the final once in this period (2023-24).
The Dandies kicked off their cup campaign against Greenock Morton and delivered a commanding performance, beating the lower-division outfit 3-0 on the road last month.
However, aside from this competition, the hosts have made a terrible start to the season, failing to qualify for Europe, while also failing to win any of their first four league games to date (D1 L3).
Meanwhile, Motherwell are in the quarter-final for a second consecutive year. They were beaten 2-1 by Rangers in the semi-final of last season’s League Cup.
