Two struggling teams face off for this rescheduled matchday 20 fixture in the Scottish Premiership when Aberdeen hosts Motherwell at Pittodrie Stadium. Aberdeen find themselves languishing in ninth-place in the standings, a season after their third-place finish in the 2022/23 season. Motherwell, meanwhile, are even on points with their opponents today at 25 but their superior goal differential (-4 compared to -10) has them occupying the eighth position in the standings.

Aberdeen put up a good fight in their most recent league appearance away from home against Rangers. The defeat put an end to a six match unbeaten run across all competitions. The positive for the Steelmen would be that they are on a five game unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership, with two wins and three draws during that stretch. This has brought Motherwell up to eighth in the standings and they have a good opportunity to leapfrog seventh-place Hibs with a win here.
