Dundee have a chance to solidify their spot in the top half of the Scottish Premiership when they travel to Aberdeen. Ahead of this game on Saturday, Dundee are sixth with 39 points, five ahead of their hosts, who are in ninth place. Aberdeen have failed to beat Dundee in their two matches this season and will view this as a chance to better that run. Going into their final game of the first phase, they’ll want a strong finish at home. This will also serve as a warmup to their Scottish Cup semifinal meeting with Celtic which comes right after. Aberdeen have enjoyed a little stability coming into this game, with a three-game unbeaten run since losing to Dundee. After two straight wins, their most recent outing ended 0-0 against Livingston. One loss only in five matches will give them the confidence to go for three points against Dundee. They have two straight home wins ahead of this encounter and they’ll seek to build on that. The 2-1 win over St. Johnstone in their most recent away match will be a good stepping stone as they seek three points here. That win represents their only victory in five away matches, three of them having ended in losses.
