Aberdeen vs Dundee FC Prediction & Betting Tips - Scottish Premiership

Aberdeen face Dundee for the first time in the Scottish Premier League this season in a rearranged game after the fixture earlier in the season was postponed. Both teams have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five SPL matches and just two points separate them in the league table with Dundee seventh on 25 points and Aberdeen 8th on 23 points. However, it should be noted that both teams have at least two games in hand on most of their opponents in the division. Recent history shows that Aberdeen have held the upper hand in this fixture, winning four of the last five and losing just one of the last six. Both teams have found the net in four of those games. However, they will have to contend with a Dundee side that have scored in all but two of their away games in the SPL this season. Dundee have also lost just two of their last six away games, at Hearts and at Rangers, while earning draws at Motherwell and Kilmarnock, as well as wins at Ross County and Livingston at the weekend. That fantastic 4-1 win saw them convert four of their six shots on goal and will give them real confidence heading into another fixture on the road at Pittodrie, even if Dark Blues manager Tony Docherty called the performance of VAR officials in that game "a shambles". 

Dons boss Barry Robson will be hoping his team can put the weekend's 2-0 defeat away to Hearts behind them for this fixture with Dundee. A win for the home side would move them up to seventh in the table above their opponents. Consistency has been a problem for Aberdeen this season. They've had some fantastic wins, notably against Rangers in the league and Eintracht Frankfurt in European competition, but they have also struggled at home, with just three wins in their nine home games in the SPL this season. Like Dundee, Aberdeen have picked up more points on the road this season, but even so, goals are still a problem for the Dons with just 23 scored in their 20 games so far, the 4th fewest in the 12-team division.
