When it comes to funding your account, Hollywoodbets South Africa offers several options, from debit and credit cards to EFT payments and convenient top-up vouchers. We will admit, though, that the bookmaker does accept fewer payment methods than some rival betting sites.
Deposits start from as little as R5, and the maximum amount is R100,000 with most payment methods, while the minimum withdrawal allowed is R50, up to a maximum of R100,000. Withdrawals typically clear within 24 hours.

Hollywoodbets Site
The Hollywoodbets website - both desktop and mobile versions - is extremely easy to navigate. The full-width layout provides ample space for fixture lists and betting odds, and improves visibility on different devices.
The bookmaker’s interface retains the brand’s distinctive purple, yellow, and black design, while prioritising simple, one-handed navigation on mobile. The fixed bottom bar and main menu carousel allow users to move quickly between the most popular categories, such as football, horse racing, and Spina Zonke slots, without taking up extensive screen space with promotional graphics.
Hollywoodbets provides a high-visibility, low-clutter interface designed for high-speed betting!
The search tool is the one area where Hollywoodbets could offer a slightly smoother experience. Search results do not display as you type in an event, and if you misspell the team name or competition, the search shows no results rather than suggesting alternatives.
Hollywoodbets App
The Hollywoodbets app provides punters who prefer using mobile devices with a convenient way to access the betting platform from anywhere, and features all the same functions found on the bookmaker’s desktop site.
The app is available on all brands of devices, with the standout feature being the Data-Free Mode, which allows you to view live scores, browse betting markets, and submit bets (pre-match or in-play) without depleting your data balance.

Types of Bets at Hollywoodbets
Hollywoodbets provides a broad range of sports betting options for both local and international favourites.
The bookmaker remains true to its roots by emphasising horse racing. Hollywoodbets owns and operates the Kenilworth, Durbanville, Greyville, and Scottsville racetracks, and they are also the sponsor of the Hollywoodbets Durban July, which is South Africa’s biggest race event. As such, it comes as no surprise that their variety of betting markets available for both local and international races is among the most extensive in South Africa.
Football, rugby, tennis, basketball, and cricket also receive high priority on the site, with bettors having the ability to place bets on everything from standard match outcomes (1X2) and Over/Unders to more specific markets like player props, handicaps, and correct scores.
While Hollywoodbets does not have the widest variety of betting markets for niche sports, their coverage across the most popular sports is genuinely impressive.
How does Hollywoodbets’ betting offering compare to the market?
While Hollywoodbets may not have the widest variety of betting markets for niche sports, their sportsbook catalogue is still one of the broadest in South Africa. Here is a look at how Hollywoodbets compares with other leading bookmakers.

Hollywoodbets Football Betting
As sponsors of English Premier League team Brentford, as well as South Africa’s Super League (SA’s national women’s soccer league), and over 100 local grassroots teams across Mzansi, football is a massive part of Hollywoodbets.
The bookmaker provides complete coverage of South Africa’s domestic PSL, alongside elite European competitions like the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and Bundesliga. Every major fixture features over 150 betting markets spanning simple match outcomes (1X2) and BTTS to more specialised options such as combination bets, halves betting, and Bet Builders.
A unique feature of Hollywoodbets’ offering is their “Soccer Punters’ Challenge,” where bettors predict the outcomes or winning margins of selected matches daily or during designated matchweeks for the chance to win massive prize pools that can reach up to R5,000,000.
Combined with odds boosts on multi-bets, we can confidently say that Hollywoodbets’ football offering is one of the most impressive in South Africa.
Hollywoodbets Live Betting
For players who enjoy live betting, Hollywoodbets offers a lightweight In-Play dashboard that is accessible in a single tap and features a huge variety of sports, including football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, esports, and much more.
One of the most notable features of the bookmaker’s live betting offering is its integration with Gallop TV. This service provides subscription-free, high-definition broadcasts of South African and international horse racing around the clock every day.
Hollywoodbets is the undisputed leader for live horse racing broadcasts in South Africa!
In terms of drawbacks, Hollywoodbets does not allow you to mix in-play sports bets with pre-match selections on one ticket, and there is no live streaming available for premium football leagues and competitions, such as the English Premier League, PSL, and UEFA Champions League. However, every football event in Hollywoodbets’ in-play section does have match trackers and in-depth stats to help guide your betting decisions.
What's good about Hollywoodbets?
There is a lot more to look forward to at Hollywoodbets beyond their welcome offer and wide variety of betting markets. Here are some of their other highlights:
Hollywoodbets Promotions
Although Hollywoodbets does not provide the most extensive list of promotions, they do have two original promotional features that few of their competitors can match in the form of the “Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge” and “Hollywoodbets Soccer Punters Challenge.”
By correctly predicting all the winners for a horse racing meeting or selected soccer matches, winners can win up to R5,000,000 every day. Entry is free, and if there are multiple winners daily, the prize pool is evenly split between all winners. Check out our Hollywoodbets promo code review for all active offers in October 2026.
Hollywoodbets Cash Out
Hollywoodbets Cash Out lets punters settle eligible sports bets ahead of the event’s scheduled conclusion, subject to the feature’s availability and terms. This gives you the power to secure an early return when your bet is in a favourable position or minimise potential loss if the game is no longer going as predicted. Cash out amounts fluctuate in real-time based on current odds and match progress.
Hollywoodbets Live Support
Hollywoodbets offers a live chat facility for users who need help with their accounts or issues with the platform. Support starts with “Holly,” the site’s automated chatbot, but customers can request assistance from an agent via live chat if needed. If you prefer speaking to an agent for assistance, you can also call the customer support line.
