How the ReadySetBet bonus works: an example

How the ReadySetBet bonus works: an example

Here's a quick example of how the ReadySetBet bonus works in practice:

I open a new ReadySetBet account with the promo code STYVIP and deposit R2,000. ReadySetBet matches it at 100%, so I receive R2,000 in Bonus Bets in my Bonus Wallet. My real money balance stays at R2,000.

  • To withdraw, I need to wager 8x my deposit: R2,000 × 8 = R16,000 in total bets at odds of 1/1 (2.00) or higher. If I place a R500 Bonus Bet at odds of 3.00 and win, I receive R1,000 in profit (R500 × 3.00 = R1,500 minus the R500 stake).

The 8x rollover is competitive for the South African market. Having a full week to complete it gives you just enough room to bet on the sports you know best.

Remember, you still need to enter the ReadySetBet promo code during registration to qualify for the 100% bonus.

ReadySetBet VS South African other sites, which one offers the best bonus?

At R15000, ReadySetBet's welcome bonus is one of the highest first deposit matches among South African sports betting sites and the fact that it covers horse racing and lucky numbers alongside traditional sports gives bettors more flexibility.

Here is how ReadySetBet compares to other welcome offers on the South African market in October 2026:

The combination of a high bonus ceiling and a low rollover makes ReadySetBet's offer hard to overlook. If you want extra funds without impossible conditions, we recommend claiming this bonus.

ReadySetBet bonus: our tips for making the most of it

ReadySetBet's welcome bonus is generous, and the conditions are manageable. But a few details could catch you off guard. Here are our tips for making the most out of it.

What to do

  • Register with the promo code STYVIP.
  • Deposit as much as you're comfortable with (up to R15000) to maximise your bonus.
  • Stick to odds of 2.00 or higher on every bet to ensure it counts towards rollover.
  • Use single bets or multiples only. These are the only qualifying bet types.
  • Keep an eye on the 7-day timer.

What not to do

  • Depositing less than R50.
  • Placing bets on casino, instant games, or lottery, as they don't count.
  • Betting on equal chance markets like odd/even, red/black, or coin tosses.
  • Backing both sides of the same match
  • Trying to withdraw before completing the rollover.

Our recommendations in short

ReadySetBet's welcome offer is one of the best welcome bonuses you can find in South Africa.

For one, the 8x rollover is preety normal in the market for sports betting. What’s more, the range of eligible bet types (sports, horse racing, lucky numbers) gives you more ways to work through it. As for the non-sports part, the ReadySet Spins, Live Dealer and Lucky Numbers rollover is 40x on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd deposits, which is quite high.

Besides entering the ReadySetBet promo code STYVIP, there are only a few key things to remember. Just deposit R50 or more, bet at odds of 2.00+, avoid equal chance markets, and finish within 7 days.

ReadySetBet bonus overview: rating explained (8.5/10)

ReadySetBet's welcome bonus earns a solid 8.5/10 rating for three reasons.

The R15000 is among the highest bonus amounts you’ll get in South Africa. The 8x rollover fort sports and horse racing is genuinely achievable, but the 40x rollover for the ReadySet Spins, Live Dealer and Lucky Numbers is a bit less easy to achieve. And the range of eligible markets goes beyond just football.

Although the 7-day expiry window is tighter than some competitors'. But that’s not a dealbreaker, considering the overall bonus quality for new players in South Africa.
