Anett Kontaveit vs Belinda Bencic Prediction & Betting Tips - Ostrava, Czech Republic

Belinda Bencic is back in the top ten after making it to the last eight of the Ostrava Open. The number three seed takes on the unseeded Anett Kontaveit for a place in the semi-final. Bencic hasn't won a tournament on the WTA Tour this year, but did win the Gold Medal at the Tokyo Olympics. The Swiss player is in her fourth straight quarter final since her Tokyo triumph. A semi-final would be handy though and it'd be her first on the WTA Tour since losing in the final of a grass court tournament held in Berlin. This week has seen Bencic defeat Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-3 6-3 in the second round.

Anett Kontaveit was ranked 30th at the start of this tournament.  The Estonian is chasing her second title of the year. Her victory came last month in Cleveland, USA, but no players ranked higher than 43rd were beaten. This is her first event since losing in three sets (first set won) to Iga Swiatek in the third round of the US Open. The first round of this tournament saw her defeat Sorana Cirstea and that was followed by knocking out the ninth seeded Paula Badosa. Both wins were by straight sets. Kontaveit won't forget her last match against Bencic. That was in last year's Australian Open and she won it dropping just one game. Before that, Bencic won at the 2019 US Open, when Kontaveit pulled out with an injury. This should be a lot closer than that match down under. Go for Bencic to get the win, possibly in three sets.
