Cricket is a sport that is played all year round. There are a great number of events that you can place bets on. Some take just a few hours to complete, others are played over five days (and can still end in a draw). Test Matches
A test match is played between two countries and is due to be contested over a period of five days. They have been played since the late 19th century and regarded by purists as the best form of cricket.
Countries such as England, Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, India, Pakistan, South Africa, the West Indies and Sri Lanka are all test playing countries. There are other international teams who play the game but aren’t yet regarded strong enough to be a test playing nation.
With teams from all over the world playing test cricket, this means the games are available to bet on throughout the year. A country like England will host matches in the summer, then in the winter go abroad to play matches in other continents.

Three and Four Day Matches

T20 cricket has been a massive success with each side only having 20 overs. There’s lots of loud music and dancing at these games that attract large crowds. Top events to bet on include the Indian Premier League, The Big Bash in Australia and England’s T20 Blast. There is also the T20 World Cup.
2021 is scheduled to see the launch of another version of the game called ‘The Hundred.’ This sees teams having a maximum of 100 balls in their innings. As with the T20 leagues, there will be plenty of top overseas players taking part and of course plenty of betting opportunities.
