Three of the top four teams on the Women's Champions League table are in action for the opening day of Round 3. With no points separating all three teams and each having a tangible chance to go top by the end of this round, we should be in for thrillers on Tuesday. Let's explore the action as Chelsea travel to St.Polten, Lyonnes hosts Wolfsburg, and Real Madrid welcome Paris FC.

St.Polten vs Chelsea

Chelsea, the 2020/21 finalists who lost 4-0 to Barcelona, travel to St.Polten in search of their second win of the campaign after beating Paris FC 4-0, which followed an opening day 1-1 versus Twente. And they couldn't have gotten a better matchup at this time than a Polten side that sits last on the Women's UCL table, with no points, no goals, and nine goals conceded.

With no value on the straight win market for Chelsea, finding a value bet for this one would be tricky. Luckily, our football experts have already found a sharp bet, which you can find in our St. Polten vs Chelsea prediction.

Chelsea are rightfully the heavy favorites entering this matchup, given the sheer difference in team quality over Polten. But also, Chelsea are in champions-worthy form, having now gone unbeaten in their last 14 competitive games outside friendlies, recording 11 wins in that span.

However, St. Polten may prove not-so-easy to beat as they've also gone 27 competitive games with only three defeats recorded. Yet, two of those defeats were in this tournament, losing 4-0 to Atlético and 3-0 to Lyonnes.

Lyonnes vs Wolfsburg

3rd-placed Wolfsburg makes a trip to 4th-placed Lyonnes, and this should be a thrilling game as both teams look to extend their perfect record so far. These two are no strangers to one another, having met ten times since 2013.

Lyonnes has been absolutely dominant with an 8-2 H2H record against Wolfsburg. And after recording nine wins in all nine games they've played this season, they're the rightful favorites to beat Wolfsburg at home, a ground where they've won their last eight games.

Lyon, which is also the most successful team in the Women's UCL with eight titles, is hunting for their ninth after making it to three of the last six finals without a win. The question now is, can Wolfsburg bounce back from their latest league defeat to upset the tournament favourites?

Real Madrid vs Paris FC

While Real Madrid have been outstanding all season, they won't be so excited facing a Paris side that beat them home and away in Group D of the 2023 UCL. Check out the best Real Madrid vs Paris betting odds and bet with only the highest odds on this game.

However, even if they have some psychological advantage, Paris aren't likely to take all three points here (or even any) given their tournament performances and overall season form. Paris FC have only won one of their four UCL games, which was a qualifier against Austria Wien. In the main league phase, they drew their opener at home to OH Leuven, before a 4-0 away thrashing at the hands of Chelsea.

Contrast that to Real Madrid, who are unbeaten in 13 of their 14 games so far, with 11 wins overall and seven wins in a row. The Spanish side has also been brilliant in their tournament run, winning all four games and beating Roma (6-2) and PSG (2-1) in the league phase. This time, Madrid is poised to beat Paris FC, and likely with multiple goals.
