After a 14-point defeat to the Phoenix Suns, the Washington Wizards returned to winning ways with a narrow 114–113 away victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in their last game. That result saw them secure their third win in their last four games. 

However, Brian Keefe's men will enter this game as underdogs despite playing at home. They have suffered defeats in their last two NBA meetings with the Brooklyn Nets and have posted a worrying 2–5 record in their last seven home games. 

The Brooklyn Nets collapsed to a 120–96 defeat to the Houston Rockets in their most recent outing. They lost each of the four quarters against the Rockets, suffering their second consecutive loss. 

Nevertheless, the Nets are favorites to win this tie and will look to return to winning ways, having won three of their last four away games. They have also won both of their recent visits to the Capital One Arena to face the Washington Wizards in the NBA.
