Wales - Croatia: Form Analysis
Wales warmed up for this crucial qualifier by thumping Gibraltar 4-0 in a friendly played on Wednesday in Wrexham. The win was the Dragons’ biggest victory in two years and will have them confident of getting the job done in Cardiff. Robert Page’s men have amassed seven points and with three matches left to play, are firmly in the race for qualification. They will however have to win here to greatly improve their chances of appearing in Germany next year. Wales have a tough run in as their remaining three matches are against teams in the qualifying picture. They will however play two of those matches in front of home support which gives them a slight advantage. Wales haven’t lost in their last three matches nor have they conceded. They have won twice with one of those wins being a 2-0 success away to Latvia last time out in the group.
Croatia were shocked by Turkey at home in midweek and lost 1-0. The win moved Turkey three points clear at the top and Zlatko Dalic’s men will seek an immediate response. It was their first loss in the group and also ended a 10-match unbeaten stretch in Euro qualifying. Croatia have amassed 10 points after winning three and drawing one of their five matches. Two of their victories have come while away and as they have never lost against Wales, they will be confident of a win. The Blazers have won four of the seven meetings with Wales with one of those victories coming while away. The reverse fixture, played on matchday one in Split, ended 1-1. Failure to not finish amongst the top two in this group will not mean elimination for the Croats. The Checkered Ones are already assured of a playoff

Wales & Croatia Squad Analysis
Wales will be without captain Aaron Ramsey and Brennan Johnson due to injury. This is a big blow for the hosts who have to win here to boost their chances of qualifying. Kieffer Moore scored a brace in the friendly with Gibraltar and everyone involved with the team will hope he replicates this here. Nathan Broadhead was also on the scoresheet in midweek and also scored against Croatia in the reverse match.
Andrej Kramaric scored against Wales on matchday one and is also Croatia’s top scorer in these qualifiers with three goals. He will however not be involved here due to injury and joins Luka Ivanusec and Ivan Perisic on the sidelines. Matteo Kovacic is back in the fold and played 80 minutes against Turkey. His return is a big boost not only for leadership but also in terms of goals. The Manchester City midfielder has scored twice in these qualifiers.
