After their short stay in the CAF Champions League, Victoria United will start their domestic charge this Sunday. The Cameroonian champions will face cup winners Colombe in the season curtain raising Super Cup in Douala. Read on for our prediction of the match.
Victoria United will have revenge up their sleeve coming into this game. In their last action against Colombe, a league match, they lost 3-1. They would, however, go one to claim the title, finishing with 13 points in the Championship round.
In August, by virtue of being Cameroonian champions, Victoria United took part in the Champions League preliminaries. They were, however, eliminated after back to back losses to Ghanaian champions Samartex.
Colombe playing in Group A in the regular season, finished with more points than Victoria United in Group B. They went on to dominated Victoria United in the playoffs but overall, they finished fourth, four points adrift.
Colombe would thus be looking to win something to start off their season. To this game, they will carry a three-match winless run, coming from their unfruitful participation in the Championship round in the league.
They have just one win in their last six matches – that success against Victoria United in the playoffs.

Our Victoria United vs Colombe Prediction
This will be the second time these two sides face off and there isn’t much in the pattern of their head to head engagements. In their only meeting last season, Colombe carried the day with a 3-1 win but that happens to be their only win in six matches.
Half of those matches ended in draws. Victoria United are also not coming from a very stable run. In their two matches in August, they suffered defeat, having drawn in their earlier game. Overall, they have two wins only in seven matches. Our prediction for Victoria United v Colombe is for a draw.
