But as she is a former semifinalist here, the Belarussian will be confident of having a sustained stay at the tournament. She has lost both her matches on clay and this form could jeopardize her sixth appearance at the French Open. Despite arriving here with a three-match losing streak, Andreescu is up in the live rankings. She has moved up three places to 39th and could move up two more places with a win on Tuesday. This match will produce the opponent for either Erika Andreeva or Emma Navarro in the second round of the competition.
