After a stunning 4-0 win at Manchester City, Tottenham return to Europa League action on Thursday. They are seventh in the league phase and host AS Roma who are down in 20th position. The Lilywhites need to bounce back from their defeat at Galatasaray in their last Europa League match. Before that though they had won their first three games to boost their chances of automatic qualification for the last 16. After the first four games of this new format, the Premier League side are in those automatic qualification positions and two points clear of ninth place.
It's been a tough season for Roma who have only won one of their four Europa League matches. They have Claudio Ranieri in charge now but the Serie A club are still struggling for consistency. The Yellow and Reds are currently in the unseeded play-off positions and a point behind the seeded section. There's a four point gap to the top eight so another loss here won't help at all. Tottenham - Roma: Form Analysis
Tottenham have made a bright start to their Europa League campaign. The Lilywhites won their first three matches and that included home victories over Qarabag and AZ, both to nil. On the road they also beat Ferencvaros but lost their last game 3-2 at Galatasaray.
Home form in the Europa League has seen Tottenham win their last eight games and they haven't conceded in the last seven. 26 goals have been scored in those eight victories. Tottenham are currently sixth in the Premier League and hopeful of a top-four finish this season.
Roma have only won one of their first four Europa League matches and trail Tottenham by four points. The Wolves have been in some tight matches with three goals scored and the same number conceded. Their only win came at home to Dinamo Kiev. Two draws have come against Athletic Bilbao and USG but they were beaten 1-0 at Elfsborg.
Roma have gone 13 away games without a win.
The Serie A club lost 1-0 at Napoli last weekend. They have now gone four games without a win and are struggling on the road. 13 games have been played since their last away victory but they'd love to get one here.

Tottenham & Roma Squad Analysis
Tottenham will be missing Gugllelmo Vicario due to an ankle injury. He was injured in the 4-0 win at Manchester City on Saturday and has had surgery. Into the starting line-up will come Fraser Forster. He's already played in a couple of Tottenham Europa League games this season. Also out for Tottenham is Micky van de Ven due to his hamstring injury.
Can Sarr and Solanke be on target again for Spurs?
More changes will be made as is often the case for clubs in this competition. Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are likely starters for Tottenham. They will be looking for more goals from Papa Sarr and Dominic Solanke who both have two goals for Spurs in Europe this season.
Mario Hermoso may start this match for Roma. Up front they will have Artem Dovbyk but Paulo Dybala may find himself starting on the bench on Thursday. He'll be a big danger for Roma if getting on the field of play.

Our Tottenham vs Roma Prediction
Tottenham can take another huge step towards automatic qualification if winning this match. After this match two of their final three games in the league phase are on the road with a final home match against Elfsborg. They had a great win at the weekend and have won both of their home matches in this season's Europa League.
Roma continue to struggle despite the arrival of Claudio Ranieri as coach. They only have five points from their four games in the Europa League and are without an away win in 13 matches. Our Tottenham v Roma prediction is Tottenham to win.
