After his good run in Montreal, Matteo Arnaldi heads to Cincinnati for this hard court Masters tournament. In round one, he plays fellow unseeded player Tomas Martin Etcheverry. Can Arnaldi continue his good form? Here's our match prediction.
Arnaldi made it all the way to the semi-finals in Montreal. That has taken him up to 29th in the rankings. It's a new career high for the Italian and his days as an unseeded player at Grand Slams look to be nearly over.
In Montreal, he beat Mackenzie McDonald, Karen Khachanov, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Kei Nishikori on his way to an eventual semi-final loss to Andrey Rublev. The winner of this match takes on either 12th seed Ben Shelton or Reilly Opelka in round two.
