Swansea ended a poor run with five points from three games before losing to a late goal at Old Trafford. Those results have taken them out of the bottom three and this game against Sunderland gives them a great chance to lengthen the gap between them and the relegation zone. After a dreadful run of form, Swansea got four points from two home games with a draw with West Ham and a win over West Brom. An away point at Crystal Palace followed before that narrow 2-1 loss at Manchester United. They are currently two points above the bottom three and a win here will certainly allay relegation fears for a while. The same can't be said for Sunderland who really can't afford to lose this match. December saw five straight defeats before a home win over bottom of the table Aston Villa. However, they are still four points from safety and a loss here will extend that to at least six plus a terrible goal difference. Sunderland really are poor away from home and have lost their last three league games on the road conceding a total of ten goals. Swansea are starting to sort their defence out and can be really strong at home so I go for them to beat Sunderland here.
