The traditional curtain-raiser, the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup, sees DFB Pokal holders Stuttgart host Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at MHPArena. Stuttgart experienced a dismal 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign. In a season marked with disappointment, they managed to secure a lowly ninth place, missing out on European football this season. To understand how far they fell off, this is a side that finished in second place in the 2023-24 season.
