Fourth seeded Novak Djokovic faces third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Astana Open final. A win for Djokoviv will be his second title in successive weeks after winning in Tel Aviv last Sunday. It may have been a stop start season for him due to his off-court problems but a win over Tsitsipas will give him his fourth win in five tournaments with only a loss to Nadal at Roland Garros. He's only dropped one set on his way to this final. That was in his semi-final against Daniil Medvedev. He lost the first set, won the second and then his opponent retired with an injury. He has a 7-2 lead over Tsitsipas with the last six meetings all being won by Djokovic. The last two meetings have also been finals, the most recent being the Rome Masters this year.

Stefanos Tsitsipas began the Astana Open ranked sixth in the world. He's climbed a place in the live rankings and will go above Daniil Medvedev into fourth if winning this final. Tsitsipas has won two titles this year with successes in the Monte Carlo Masters (on clay) and the Mallorca grass court tournament. Winning the Astana Open would equal his best of three titles in a year in 2019. This is his second final since winning in Mallorca in June. He reached the final of the Cincinnati Mssters but lost that and then was beaten in the US Open first round. This week has seen him lose one set on the way to the final. Like Djokovic, that was in his semi-final having to come from a set down to beat Andrey Rublev. Go for Djokovic to get the win here.
