Predicting who is going to be in the final of a Women's Singles Grand Slam event is never an easy one. The usual suspects don't always deliver the goods and this Saturday, Sofia Kenin takes on Gabriel Muguruza in the Australian Open final. Kenin is the 14th seed and her opponent unseeded, so not quite what was predicted to happen. Kenin had some big wins last year but this is her first time past the fourth round of a Grand Slam. Two previous appearances in this tournament had seen her win just one match. It's all very different this year though and Kenin has only dropped one set on her way to this final. That was in the fourth round losing a set to Coco Gauff. The semi-final saw her defeat world number one Ashleigh Barty to disappoint the home crowd.

When a player loses the first set of a tournament 6-0, winning the event isn't quite on your mind. That's what happened to Garbine Muguruza in her first round match against Shelby Rogers. She bounced back to win the next two sets for the loss of just one game. Since then, the unseeded Spaniard has defeated Elina Svitolina, Kiki Bertens, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Simone Halep. A great week for a player who is a former world number one but had slumped to 32 in the rankings. She's in great form  and can get the win here to claim her third Grand Slam tournament win.
