Serena Williams vs Simona Halep Prediction & Betting Tips - Wimbledon Qualification, England

For the second successive year Serena Williams has made it through to the final of the women's single at Wimbledon. Last year saw her lose to Angelique Kerber and this time around, she has to beat Simona Halep. A win for Williams will see her equal the record of 24 Grand Slam singles win by a woman. The current record is held by Margaret Court, though many of her titles were won when a lot of the top players didn't venture down under for the Australian Open which she won 11 times. Williams is playing in her 32nd Grand Slam final (the record is 34 held by Martina Navratilova) and has had few problems making it to this final. She has only dropped two sets and lost only three games in her semi-final against Barbora Strycova. 

Simona Halep is a former world number one but her only Grand Slam title was won at the French Open last year. She has only won one of her ten previous matches against Serena and that was four years ago. Serena has won the last five meetings and the only game on grass was at Wimbledon seven years ago with the American winning in three sets. Halep has only dropped one set on her way to what is her fifth Grand Slam final (only the second away from Paris). This is only the second time she has made it past the quarter final in this tournament, Williams has of course far more experience and in her current form can win this title for the eighth time.
