Scotland are home to the USA on Saturday as they get their Autumn Tests underway. The Scottish side will be confident of securing a big win against the Americans who are a Tier 2 rugby nation. Here's our match prediction.
The home side are eighth in the world rankings, seven ahead of their opponents. Following this game, they have tougher Autumn fixtures against New Zealand, Argentina and Tonga. Last year saw them win three of their four Autumn internationals and a similar result in 2025 would be a good result.
Four of Scotland's last seven internationals have ended in defeat. They finished fourth in the Six Nations, their only two wins coming against the sides below them in the table. July saw them lose to Fiji but beat Spain.
They will field a team that is experienced but also field some younger players.Liam McConnell will be making his debut in the back row with Harri Morris earning his first cap if coming on from the bench.
The USA beat Samoa in their most recent international. The victory saw them finish fifth in the Pacific Nations Cup. That victory ended a run of four successive defeats to Spain, England, Canada and Japan.
